Simple and Effective Ways To Increase Metabolism.

In Maximum Metabolism we discussed one of the single most effective ways to increase metabolism. There are other easy ways to boost metabolism that will still give you good increases and are very good for your health. This is all the energy that you use moving around during the day, from getting out of the bed in the morning until you lie down at night.

Be Above Average

Where Possible Leave the car behind and Walk instead.

We all seem to jump in the car these days and drive to where ever we need to go, no matter what the distance.

By walking up the road to the shops instead of driving the car you increase your physical activity levels.

Take The Stairs

Everywhere we go there are lifts and escalators that appear to make our life faster and easier, but the reality is they deprive us of much needed physical activity. Always take the stairs if it's possible.

Walk Regularly

Walking not only increases your physical activity levels and your Basal Metabolic Rate, but it also gets you outside into the open air. Take your family or a friend with you if you can, its a great time to relax together and it really does make you feel good.

Ride a Bike

I have just recently bought a bike and absolutely love riding. Mountain bikes are great fun and you can take them almost anywhere.

The great thing about riding is that it is low impact and unlike running doesn't hurt your knees, it actually strengthens them. I used to run a lot but now my bike is my way of having a great time with family and friends and its great exercise at the same time.

If you want to increase your level of physical activity I can highly recommend a bike, remember when you were a kid and you used to ride to the shops to get milk etc. well get back into it, its great fun, an excellent social activity and its great for your metabolism.

If you want to get serious about riding join a bike club. Whether its a mountain bike or a road bike there are bike clubs everywhere that you can join and its a great way to meet new people and one of the most enjoyable ways to increase metabolism at the same time.
