Speed Up Metabolism

Speed Up Metabolism - Burn Fat Faster!

You can successfully speed up metabolism and in the process lose weight and build a healthier stronger physique through some simple lifestyle changes.

Diet

Eat small meals regularlyas this has been shown to speed up metabolism. Eating small nutritious meals 5 times per day as opposed to the traditional 3 larger meals, will make your body work harder digesting food throughout the day. This also helps to reduce the chances of your body storing excess food as fat in the process.

Sleep

Get at least 8 hours sleep a night. Getting enough sleep is critical for your mind and body to function at its peak. You will need to exercise at high intensity and you will need the 8 hours sleep for your muscles to repair and grow sufficiently to recover and progress. Your body releases hormones while you sleep including Human Growth Hormone that help this process.

Resistance Training

Weight training at least 3 times per week, lifting progressively more resistance will cause your muscles to adapt by growing thicker and stronger fibers, These larger fibers burn more energy and help to speed up metabolism. Increasing your lean muscle mass is by far the most effective method you can use to speed up your metabolism.

Interval Training

Aerobic activity such as Walking, Jogging and Cycling are good for your cardiovascular health, but have little effect on your metabolism if you maintain the same level of intensity throughout your exercise session.

Interval training involves doing these same exercises at maximum pace for a fixed length of time, followed by a fixed length of time to recover. This process is repeated for a minimum of 20 minutes and it has been shown to considerably speed up metabolism for a long time after you stop training.

For more in depth information on these and other methods to speed up metabolism, I highly recommend Burn The Fat as a comprehensive resource to help you achieve your weight loss goals.
