What is The Metabolism Zone?

Read on to discover how the Metabolism Zone can change your life and give you the physique that you have always dreamed of!

When you ask most people 'in the know' about metabolism, they will tell you it's all about energy in versus energy out and you will lose weight by consuming less calories and doing more exercise.

We are now swamped with advice from doctors to nutritionists about how to lose weight.

It seems very simple in theory and yet the reality is very different.

All of us have probably tried at least once in our lives to cut back on the calories we consume each day along with some walking or jogging, hoping for a big change only to give up because of a lack of results.

I have experienced very dark moments when I have looked back at my year of training and compared my fitness level and physique at the beginning of the year to the end and have been shocked at how little change I had made.

You can fool yourself into thinking that attending a gym class and drinking low fat milk with your coffee will make a difference to your weight and physique, the reality is that it doesn't seem to make any difference at all.

Get Into The Metabolism Zone

The Metabolism Zone is all about conditioning your body with proper nutrition and exercise in order to create change towards a healthier, leaner and more toned physique.

In the Metabolism Zone your body will enter a state where it will burn more energy continuously and will give you mind blowing changes to your physique.

The key to the Metabolism Zone is the conditioning. The human body is very complex and it will adapt to any significant and lasting changes in its enviroment in order to survive.

There are 2 parts to conditioning the body that must be addressed to achieve positive change.

1: Diet- Every day you must eat healthy well balanced meals that supply the body with the nutrients that it needs to grow lean and healthy.

For advice on diet, see Metabolism Diet a nutritious diet is critical to any healthy change.

2: Physical Exercise- At least 5 days per week, for 1 hour each day.

Exercising for 5 days a week is critical for physical conditioning. We want to be challenging our muscles and cardiovascular system with intense regular workouts so that our bodies have to adapt.

WARNING This is not something that you can just have a go at a couple of times a week.

Exercising a couple of times a week may help you get fitter but it simply is not enough to change your physique.

By doing intense 1 hour sessions of resistance and cardio based exercises for 5 days of the week our bodies are forced constantly into a state of high energy demand and fatigue.

Even on your 2 days off your body will be using more energy as it repairs and recovers from the constant workouts.

Choosing the correct exercises and diet is critical if you are to be successful.

It is very important that you set yourself a Goal and have a very clear understanding of why you want to achieve it.

For me I have always wanted to be a certain weight and body shape that I can clearly visualize and that has kept me focused on achieving my goal no matter what obstacles are put in front of me.

Conditioning your body in order to change your physique will take you way out of your comfort zone and you must be prepared for it.

There is the cliche 'no pain no gain' and in the early stages there is no denying it.

The good news is that once you are in the Metabolism Zone, you will get natural highs from the hormones, blood and energy that are running through your sytem.

You will feel so good you will want to know why you didn't train this regularly before.

Once you have achieved you goal weight and physique you can go back to a maintenance phase of 2 to 3 times per week and spend more time with the family as a happier and much healthier person.

Good Luck.
